The leading Human Rights center in Moscow – Sakharov Center named after the famous dissident and academic will introduce us to the legacy of the famous human rights icon.

The name of Sakharov is one of those without which we can not imagine the history of our country of the twentieth century. But after all, he died a long time ago, in 1989, a whole generation that was born after Sakharov has long since grown old, and the 20th century itself has already gone down in history. The world has changed, we are moving into the future, moving away from the past.

Maybe Sakharov’s name means nothing to us?

Maybe he stayed there - in the past, along with the whole of the XX century? Or not?
